As many of you may or may not know; I'm a resident of Boston, and I live just 10 minutes walking up the street from where the bombs went off and the finish line for the Marathon is.
For those who have contacted me I want to let you know that I'm alright! I was incredibly fortunate in having plans cancel at the last minute (plans that would have put me where the bombs went off and the ensuing chaos was). My family and friends are all okay, even though many are shaken and scared.
There are many injured and some have died from the attack. Many bostonians will go home to mourn our dead and wounded, as well as nurse our injured pride in our city. I ask that my watchers keep Boston in their prayers and well-wishes!
Boston is resilient and tough- hell we're known for it. I want to thank all the respect and care I've seen for Boston and it's victims today though. It's such a tragedy when an attack like this happens, particularly on a day that's meant to celebrate our past victories.
I'm not the most eloquent with words, but I wanted to ask that you guys keep Boston in mind in the following week as we recover from this and bring justice down on those who should be blamed.
